Pinto Art Museum

Pinto Art Museum is located at Silangan Garden, 1 Sierra Madre Street, Grandheigths, Antipolo City an hour away from Ortigas.

As you enter Grandheights Subdivision, just tell the guard that you are going to the art museum and he will request you to pay a parking fee of 20.00 pesos.

At the entrance of the museum, visitors are requested to "kindly ring the bell" and somebody from the museum will go out and greet you.

After registering and paying an entrance fee of 150 pesos for adults or 75 pesos for students, there is also 20% discount for senior citizens, the museum personnel will then give you a map of the museum to serve as a guide around the whole place.

At first, you would think that this would just be one of those typical museums that you go to, but this place actually exceeded my expectations by how picturesque all the views are and its Mediterranean inspired architecture.

This is a little Chapel located near the registration and tours office wherein it is filled with Catholic sculptures.

All in all there are 5 galleries, as you enter the first one you will be greeted by this vast painting named Karnibal.

In this gallery, it is filled with paintings as well and meticulously crafted art pieces that will definitely make it hard not to appreciate. The museum also makes use of natural lighting that comes from the windows on almost every part of the walls.

There are a lot of restrooms located around the museum that can even be considered as works of art as well.

Don't miss going to the Forrest Room that is filled with bamboos and and little pools of water with stones and a huge stone "levitating" on top of the pool. It plays a relaxing music in the background which is probably why they ask visitors to put their cell phones on silent or vibrate mode prior to entering the room. The room is a bit dark so be careful not to fall into those pools of water. This is definitely one of my favorite room of the museum.

Another place that you shouldn't leave without going to is that Cafe Tanaw (roof deck), it has and overview of the whole museum as well as the mountains surrounding Antipolo City.

For those couples who haven't found a great location for their pre-nuptial pictures then we recommend you taking them here at Pinto Art Museum, but it would be better to inquire first with the Museum Manger, call 632 - 6971015.

(my alma mater full of rats)

Without a doubt, I enjoyed this place! I personally liked the architecture and its surroundings. I will surely come back here!
